Sometimes, writing the next book can seem like hard work.

If you don't believe me, ask George RR Martin.

He's been supposedly writing the next in the Game of Thrones series (or, more correctly, the  Song of Ice and Fire series) for about the last ten years.

  I'm hoping it won't take as long to complete my next book but sometimes you need to do something to get back into the creative flow.

  In my case, that's writing a short story, preferably to enter in a competition.

So far, I've had no luck winning any but I've decided to make the stories available free to my readers.
